The assistant inside your system
The assistants the case management systems bundle, Clio's and LEAP's among them, are built as answer boxes on what each vendor published.
Where the bundled assistants stop
Clio says its assistant flags risks and orders tasks inside the matter, still work on the file a fee earner has open.
None of them, on the published material, holds a view of the rest of the caseload, drafts from your own precedent bank, or acts when nobody asks. Most are not priced on their own.
While the office is closed Bracton reads every live matter, and the morning arrives with the drifting files surfaced, the chasers drafted in your house style and the unrecorded time found.

What the same money buys elsewhere

The figures, and where each one is published
Clio lists its Core plan from £79 for each user a month, with the Signature and Elite plans priced on enquiry and its drafting add-on carrying no published figure.
Osprey Approach lists £110 for Advanced and £140 for Premium for each paying licence a month, on a three licence minimum and a thirty six month standard term, with Enterprise on application and a five per cent rise in the licence price on each anniversary.
Access Legal publishes a 2024 G-Cloud rate card putting Proclaim at £79 a user for five to twenty users on a thirty six month term with hosting charged separately, the accounts module at £500 a month flat and Land Registry at £165.
The same card requires a customer success plan at fifteen to twenty five per cent of software spend at the scale a small firm buys, tapering on larger spend. Those are public sector rate cards rather than private quotes, and both sets of figures moved between July and September 2026.
A law library sits on top of that again, and By Lawyers inside LEAP is published at £29 for each user a month plus VAT, tied to a LEAP subscription.
The enterprise legal AI platforms publish no prices at all, so this page quotes none for them.
Bracton keeps no copy of client material, and your precedents serve your firm alone.
