For managing partners

Capacity, margin and oversight, question by question.

You are buying capacity, margin and oversight, and carry the decision if it goes wrong. Each question is answered here and in full on the page it points to.

  • Two products, one decision, usually turning on whether your contract lets you move.
  • Both prices are published in full, with the minimum and the term.
  • The client account review runs the software across a sample of your own matters.
  • What exists today is listed in one place, in four states.

The questions round the table

What it does for capacity

Overnight the software reads every live matter. By morning each fee earner has the files needing attention with the action drafted, the chasers and client updates in the house style, and the unrecorded time written up. A person signs off first.

Answered in full: In practice.

The price and the term

£115 a fee earner a month for the assistant, £185 for the platform, one rate whatever the size of firm. What you pay for the assistant comes off the platform price in full if you move within twelve months.

The term and the calculator

The initial term is twenty four months, renewing a year at a time with six months notice. The calculator on the prices page works your figure on both products.

Answered in full: The published prices.

Which of the two to buy

If your firm is free to change system, take the platform, because the assistant is part of it and acts on the ledger as readily as on the correspondence. If a contract holds you, the assistant runs inside the system you have and your configuration carries across when you move.

Answered in full: Which one fits.

What a move costs in disruption

On the assistant route, nothing is migrated and nothing is replaced. On the platform route the migration is scoped, priced and timetabled in writing before you commit, and the two systems run alongside with the old record readable throughout.

Why no migration duration is stated

The largest part of it is controlled by the supplier you are leaving.

Answered in full: Implementation and migration.

If Bracton Ltd fails

Your matters, documents, correspondence and ledgers are exportable in a documented format at any point and for ninety days after the agreement ends, at no charge. The right survives every dispute.

No escrow, no continuity undertaking

There is no source code escrow and no continuity undertaking today. A firm needing either raises it at the proposal stage.

Answered in full: Questions before signing.

How mature it is

The demonstration runs the working software in your browser on invented files, the platform is in build, the host is not chosen and the migration tooling is not written.

Answered in full: Product status.

Testing it before committing

Open the software now, without a form. Then bring a sample of your own files for a free hour with us, and if you want the findings in writing there is the client account review.

Answered in full: The client account review.

The compliance officer's route is on its own page, and the fee earner's on another.
