The assistant on its own
Contracted elsewhere for three more years? Start anyway.
The same assistant that sits inside the platform, run inside the system your firm already has. Nothing is migrated.
Meet Henry
Henry is the assistant, named for Henry de Bracton, whose treatise first gathered the decisions of the English courts into order. He works inside your files with the permissions your firm gives him.
Ask him a question about a matter and he answers from the papers on that file, naming each paper he relies on so that you check it rather than take it on trust. He drafts in your firm's style from your own precedents, reads the post as it arrives and sets it against its file, reads a letter before it goes out if you send it to him, and sits in a pane beside the document in Word. Each answer is recorded on the file.
Everything he writes waits for a fee earner to read and approve, and nothing leaves the firm in his name. What he reads stays where your firm holds it, and nothing your firm sends trains a model.
What Henry does
On its own it connects through the interface your system already provides, under permissions your firm sets. Inside the platform it reads and writes the same record.
Reads every file overnight
Each working night he opens every live file and writes a note of what needs doing, so by morning each fee earner has the files that need attention with the next action drafted.
